What grade(s) and subjects are you teaching this year?

8th Grade Core!

What is your…

 Favorite color?

Green (and pink)

Favorite restaurant?

The Melting Pot

Favorite place to shop?

Target

Favorite movie?

The Lion King

Favorite snack?

Chocolate. And cheese.

Favorite sports team?

The Gators!

Favorite book?

There’s way too many to list! Harry Potter’s a safe bet, anything by Libba Bray, The Hobbit…

Are you originally from Tampa, or like so many of us, did you move from somewhere else?

I’m originally from St. Pete, so I consider myself as having lived in the area for sure. I moved (back) here after 5 years in Gainesville to take care of that “higher education” thing.

What high school did you graduate from? Where was it located?

St. Petersburg High School (IB Program). Go Green Devils! It’s located near downtown St. Pete, FL.

Do you have any brothers or sisters? Older or younger?

I have one younger sister (fun fact- we share the same birthday [December 18th], but she’s three years younger than me). I also have two older step-brothers, both of whom live in Tampa.

When you were the age of the students that you teach, what did you think you would be doing as an adult?

I assumed I would either be teaching (really) or living the glamorous life of a magazine editor in NYC. I started out as a journalism major in college because of it.

Something went wrong, and from now on only one song plays over the intercom on a loop all day…what would you want it to be?

Anything by Hans Zimmer (except maybe the Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code soundtracks). He is my all-time favorite composer, and I can (and have) listened to him all day.

If you were told you have one week off of work and an unlimited amount of money to spend, what are the first three things you’d do?

I’d jet off to Italy, take my whole family with me, shop ‘til I drop, go see every single museum possible, and eat all of the spaghetti I can get my hands on.
