Welcome to our Trinity family! If you had to describe your first weeks here in only three words, what would they be?

Exciting, Exhausting, Rewarding!

Now that you’re officially a professional educator, looking back to when you were a student, did you ever think this would be what you’d be doing at your age?

Growing up I was fortunate to have incredible teachers who instilled a strong passion for learning within me. I believe that these teachers gave me the desire to become a professional educator at a young age. In college, I still explored different career paths, however, none of them interested me in the same way that teaching did. I don’t see this profession as a job, but rather as an opportunity to make an impact.

Are you originally from Tampa, or did you move here from somewhere else? If so, from where and how long ago?

I’m originally from close by in Plant City; however, I spent a lot of time in Tampa growing up because the majority of my extended family lives here. I lived in Gainesville during the past 5 years for college, and just made the official move to Tampa this past August.

If you were given a moments notice to take a week off and travel anywhere in the world you’d like without worrying about the cost, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go to Hawaii and explore all of the beautiful beaches and scenery.

To you, what is the most rewarding part of your job as an educator?

Seeing the progress students make throughout the course of a school year. Sometimes this progress isn’t only in academics; it’s also rewarding to see the progress students make both socially and emotionally.
